NOTES

John 10:10 AMPC

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Psalms 118:24

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

TPT:

This is the very day of the Lord that brings gladness and joy, filling our hearts with glee.

Have you ever had so much on you that you just couldn’t stop thinking about it?

Matthew 6:24-34

  • The most ignored words of Jesus

  • Worry is sin. Jesus directly commands us not to worry.

  • Worrying means to torment yourself with negative thoughts

  • Worry is a distraction that divides your mind

  • Worry is designed to zap you of joy, which is your strength for the day

  • You can ruin your present by worrying about your future.

  • Worry does not pay bills, but God does. He sees every need and supplies in ways beyond what we imagine.

  • He can untangle any financial mess you’ve gotten into.

Verse 34

  • Tomorrow is the coming day.

  • Don’t live tomorrow before God gives you tomorrow’s grace.

  • You can either choose to worry or trust God

What are you supposed to do with all the concerns you have?

1 Peter 5:5-7

In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Ps. 55:22.]

  • Not 75 percent of them. All of them!

1 Peter 5:7 TPT

Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.

  • God will not take your cares away from you. You have to give them to Him.

  • You were not born to wake up every morning worrying
