Stop Rushing Your Season
In this message, Pastor DaVon reveals how impatience quietly pulls us out of God’s timing. It whispers that waiting is wasting and delay is denial. But throughout Scripture, impatience didn’t just create bad moments; it changed people’s futures. This message will challenge you to trust God’s timing and not let impatience rewrite your promise.

NOTES
John 10:10 AMPC
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
If you are not enjoying the journey, the thief is stealing from you.
Psalms 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.
A journey is a series of steps or movements
Not the leaps. Not the finish line. The steps.
Every step has purpose—every delay, every detour, every open door and closed door.
When you realize God is in the steps, you stop rushing through life and start enjoying the journey.
Ordered - prepared, arranged, directed, or established
Joy isn’t waiting at the destination; it’s available in the steps God is ordering today.
What happens when you feel like nothing is happening?
What happens when you get tired of waiting?
What’s taking so long?
Why are things not working out for me?
Do I have enough faith?
3 guys who were impatient:
Impatient- restless or irritable with anything that delays
Abraham & Sarai (Genesis 16)
King Saul & Samuel (1 Samuel 13)
The Israelites (Exodus 32)
The last moments of waiting are the most difficult and tempt you to take matters into your own hands.
James 1:1-3
James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
James, half-brother of Jesus
Unbeliever during Jesus’ ministry
Became a believer after the resurrection
Leader of the church in Jerusalem
The first thing he says is to count it all joy
Most believers feel full of joy until they encounter a trial.
God wants you to rejoice even during trials.
"How am I honestly conducting myself in this trial?"
What is actually testing your faith? Time!
Testing exposes impatience.
Don’t force doors.
Don’t manufacture momentum.
Hebrews 6:15 NIV
And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.
