The Difference Maker
In this message, Pastor DaVon shares insight from the story of the rich young ruler in Matthew 19, showing how choosing to follow Jesus is more valuable than chasing money or material things. He also explains the difference between being with God versus being with man. No matter how difficult your journey may seem, Pastor DaVon encourages you that with God, all things are possible when you walk with Him.

Notes
Matthew 19:16-29
Rich man asking about life after death
If you call me good, then you are calling me God
Jesus named a few Commandments, but not the first commandment
But he failed to abide by the first commandment, not having any God before him
Money and possessions had become his God.
We are so focused on what Jesus asked him to give up but fail to see what Jesus offered in exchange.
Jesus watched the wealthy young man walk away sad, not because he lacked something, but because he had too much.
Not too much money, but too much attachment.
His possessions weren’t the problem; his unwillingness to part with them was.
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Impossible- unlikely, improbable, unthinkable, unattainable, hopeless
Possible - probable, conceivable, attainable, imaginable, doable, hopeful
Which one is it Jesus? Is it impossible or is it possible?
Answering this question, "Who are you with?" is the decisive factor in determining whether things are possible or impossible for you.
With men, it cannot be done
With God, it can be done
With - connection and commitment
With is about aligning hearts, values, and goals.
With reveals His desire to work in partnership with you.
We are one WITH Christ Jesus
Matthew 19:26 Wuest
And Jesus, having turned His eyes upon them and having considered them, said to them, In the presence of men, as men look at this, it is impossible. But in the presence of God, as He looks at this, all things are possible.
I can tell who you are with by the way you talk.
You are the result of who/what you listen to the most.
Who/What are you listening to?
Someone told me that his four-year-old has been cussing. My first question was, “Who has she been with?”
Proverbs 13:20 TPT
If you want to grow in wisdom, spend time with the wise. Walk with the wicked and you’ll eventually become just like them.
