Ready To Follow
In Ready to Follow, Pastor DaVon challenges you to be flexible, go with the flow, and trust God’s lead. Using Romans 8:14 and Luke 9:57–62, he demonstrates that growing in faith means following God—even when it disrupts your plans or comfort zone. When you pay attention to the Holy Spirit, God will guide you, step by step, along the best path for your life.

NOTES
Romans 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8:14 TPT
The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.
Being led by the Spirit takes maturity.
Flexibility keeps your faith fresh.
Stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit—He is the modern-day “cloud” that leads us. (Numbers 9:15-23)
Psalm 32:8 NLT
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.
Psalms 32:8-9 TPT
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!
The secret to success is being flexible, adaptable, and adjustable.
Pray: “Lord, help me follow You, not my plans.”
Luke 9:57-62
To follow- to move behind in the same direction.

Are you ready to move with me? Travel with me?
We may not stay in the best hotels
We may not stay in the best communities or cities
Jesus emphasized commitment over comfort
2. The second man was too slow
Following Jesus is radical
The call of God is urgent.
You must prioritize God’s Kingdom above all else
Order your life around God’s priorities
3. The third man was too attached
Hesitation, second-guessing, or clinging to the past can compromise your discipleship
What is the family going to do? Talk you out of it.
