Healing School Part 2

Matthew 4:23-24

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseasesand torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Matthew 15:29-31

Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there. Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them thelame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

Matthew 14:13-14

When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities. And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

Luke 5:12-13

12 And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 13 Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him.

Say this out loud:

I’ve heard from heaven. It's not what people think. It’s what God says. It is His will for me to be healed.

Faith begins where the will of God is known.

Paralytic lowered through the Roof
Mark 2:3-5 NKJV
3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

The Centurion
Matthew 8:6-7, 13 NKJV
6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” 7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed,solet it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

The Nobleman’s Son
John 4:49-51 NKJV
49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” 50 Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”

25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” 31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

What if the doctors have run every test and exhausted every drug? Can you still be healed? Your faith can make you whole!

He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”

Blind Bartimaeus
Mark 10:51-52 NKJV
51 So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” 52 Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Ten Lepers
Luke 17:15-19 NKJV
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Faith is easier than you think. The devil wants you to think it's hard, but the Word of God is going to come, and you’re going to hear it and faith to be healed will come!

Romans 10:17

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]…

What is Faith?

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Just wanting something from God won’t get the job done

Hebrews 11:1 AMP

Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Hope – to wait with expectation of something good
Anything that points to the future or looks to the future is hope
Faith is laying hold of the unseen realm of hope and bringing it into the realm of reality.
You don’t receive anything from God through hope. It’s by faith that you receive.
We cannot substitute hope for faith and get answers from God
Hope is future tense
Faith is present tense
If it’s not now, it's not faith
Faith – believe you have it before you see it
Faith says, “It is mine. I have it now”
Faith will eventually bring into reality what you have hoped for
By faith you can receive whatever God has promised to you in His Word

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

If you wait to see something before you believe it, then that’s not faith at all. That’s leaning to the evidence of your senses. \

And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek him.

Does faith please God?
Does God reward faith?
God is pleased when you believe you have something before you even see it.
